教学目标
Lesson6 形容词 副词 2
1.掌握形容词副词比较级的变化规则；
2.能够掌握运用比较级的前提，熟练运用比较级； 3.掌握一些修饰比较级的词，如：much，a bit 等； 4.掌握比较级的常见用法．
教学内容
比较级的定义
在英语中通常用下列方式表示的词：在形容词或副词前加 more(如 more natural，more clearly)或加后缀 -er(newer，sooner)．典型的是指形容词或副词所表示的质.量或关系的增加．英语句子中，将比较两个主体 的方法叫做“比较句型”．其中，像“A 比 B 更……”的表达方式称为比较级．组成句子的方式是将形容词或 副词变化成比较级的形态． 比较级变化规则
1.一般情况直接加 er,dark→darker;quick→quicker; 2.以 y 结尾的,去 y 为 i，加 er,early→earlier;
3.重读闭音节双写最后一个字母再加 er,类似的词：hot,wet,big,thin,fat,red,sad
4.多音节形容词的比较级在其前加 more 构成．important→more important;beautiful→more beautiful． 5.表语形容词以及由分词变来的形容词，在其前加 more 构成．afraid→more afraid; interesting→more interesting;pleased→more pleased． 6.少数形容词的比较级是不规则的．

●Tom looks older than he really is．谈论家人时可以用 elder(或 older)，如(my)elder brother/sister/son/daughter; ●My elder brother is a pilot．(或 My older brother…)可以说 My elder brother 但不能说 somebody is elder…; ●My broher is older than me．(而非 elder than me)

有些双音节的形容词既可以在原级后面加-er．也可以在原级前面加 more： quite clever narrow shallow simple

than 用于比较级(older than…/ more expensive than…等)之后： Athens is older than Rome．
Are oranges more expensive than bananas？
可以说 than me / than him / than her / than us / than them．也可以这么表达: I can run faster than him．或 I can run faster than he can．

比较级的常见用法
1.可以用any和no+比较级(any longer/ no bigger等):not…any+比较级=no+比较级 I've waited long enough．I'm not waiting any longer．(一会儿也不再等) We expected their house to be very big but it's no bigger than ours．
2.为表示持续不断的变化，比较级+and+比较级，即越来越……，可用\双重比较\方法(…and…): It's becoming harder and harder to find a job． It's becoming more and more difficult to find a job． 3.还可以用 the+比较级+the+比较级这个结构表示“越……就越……”：
The warmer the weather，the better I feel． The sooner we leave，the easier it is to learn． The younger you are，he easier it is to learn． The more, the better. 多多益善。 4.which is+比较级，Aor B? Which is better,this book or that book? 5.比较级+than+any other+名词单数 Tom is taller than any other boy in the class.

? not as…(as)的其他一些例句：还可以说 not so…(as):
Tom isn?t as old as he looks．(=he looks older than he is)
?The weather is better today，isn?t it？??Yes，it?s not as cold．?(=yesterday was colder) I don?t know as many people as you do．(=you know more people) It?s not warm but it isn?t so cold as yesterday．(=…it isn?t as cold as…) ? as…as(而非 so…as)可以用在肯定句，疑问句和否定句中，但是 so…as 只能用在否定句中。 I?m sorry I?m late．I got here as fast I could．
There?s plenty of food．You can have as much as you like． Let?s walk．It?s just as quick as taking the bus． Can you send me the money as soon as possible，please？
同样 twice as…as，three times as…as 等：
Petrol is twice as expensive as it was a few years
ago． Their house is about three times as big as ours． ??
可以说 the same as(而非 the same like):
Ann?s salary is the same as mine．或 Ann gets the same salary as me． Tom is the same age as George．
?What would you like to drink？??I?ll have the same as you．? than me/than I am 等 通常说：
You are taller than me．(而非 than I)．He is not as clever as her．(而非 as she)than/as 后面如不使用动词，常用人称代词的宾语形式 me/him/her/them/us，试比较： You are taller than I am．但是说 You are taller than me． They have more money than we have．但是说 They have more money than us． I can?t fun as fast as he can．但是说 I can?t run as fast as him．
