Unit 12 What did you do last weekend? 教材解读

本单元以周末活动为话题、以谈论过去发生的事情为功能,主要复习“一般过去时态”的用法,重点学习以下内容:询问他人上周末的活动;准确地表达自己上周末的活动;复述Lisa难忘的周末经历;掌握并能正确运用以“who,what,when,where,how”等引导的特殊疑问句的过去式句型;学会使用一般过去时态写一篇关于自己周末经历的小文章。

单元目标

一、知识与技能

1.以“who,what,when,where,how”等引导的特殊疑问句的过去式句型;就过去周末发生的事情进行扮演与交流。

2.运用读图预测及找读的阅读学习策略,读懂相当于Section B 2b难度的叙述过去发生事情的短文;能正确朗读短文,并尝试用自己的语言简单复述故事的经过。

3.运用所学,在写作思维线索的帮助下,仿写叙述过去周末活动的对话或短文。 4.语言知识目标:通过本单元的学习,学生能:注意不规则动词过去式的读音。 5.熟练掌握以下常用单词:

camp, lake, beach, sheep, as, natural, visitor, tired, stay, away, mouse, baby, shout, language, fly, kite, high, ago, India, moon, surprise, snake, move, start, jump, wake, into, forest, ear.

6.能熟练掌握以下短语:

stay up late, run away, shout at…, fly a kite, put up, get a surprise, shout to…, up and down, wake…up.

7.能熟练掌握本单元Grammar Focus中以及以下询问过去周末发生的事情的常用句型:“How was your weekend? It was great.” “What did you do last weekend? I played soccer.” “Who did you play with? I played with my friend.”

二、过程与方法

通过本单元的学习,学生能:对《同步学习》本单元的课前准备部分进行预习。 借助简笔画及图片进行联想学习和词语记忆。认识到听录音前,浏览相关图画和文字信息有助于听力任务的完成。

能在听力训练过程中学会抓关键词;继续巩固听音速记的听力技巧。 学生能在教师的引导下进行读图预测;能通过关键词运用找读。

(Scanning)策略完成对文章细节的理解。初步具有篇章结构的意识。 在表达时,能借助手势、表情等体态语进行交流。(交际策略)

在教师的引导和帮助下,对所学内容进行复习和归纳。(认知策略)

三、情感态度与价值观

通过本单元的学习,学生能:敢于用英语进行表达,积极尝试使用本单元功能句,就过去周末发生的事情进行角色扮演与交流;表达自己对往事的感觉,不怕出错。

S:I didn’t have a school trip last weekend. I stayed at home. T:Well, what did you do at home? S:I did my homework.

2. Presentation (呈现新知识)

(1) Show pictures of some activities. Explain the new phrases to the Ss. T:I have a friend, Lucy. She had a busy weekend. Let’s look at what she did last weekend.

(2) Work on 1a. Go through the pictures and learn the phrases. Match the activities with the pictures [a–f]. Check the answers

(1) T:Please turn to page 68. Look at the sentences in 2a. Read them aloud. (2) T:Now listen carefully and underline the words you hear. (3) T:Can you get the answers? Check Ss’ answers.

(4) T:Please look at 2b. Listen again and write C for Carol, J for Jack or B for Becky next to the statements in 2a.
