Three astronauts returned to Earth safely on Wednesday after a successful 15-day mission (任务),marking another step forward towards the country's goal of building a manned space station by 2020.

Zhang Youxia,commander-in-chief of China's manned space program, said the Shenzhou X mission was a “complete success”.

The Shenzhou X landed safely in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region at about 8:07 a.m.on June 26,2018.All three astronauts were in good physical condition.

Nie Haisheng, commander of the Shenzhou X crew (机组) and a second-time space traveler, was the first to get out of the bowl-like module (舱),followed by Wang Yaping, the only female astronaut of the mission, and Zhang Xiaoguang. They waved happily to the people present.

And then a short welcoming ceremony was held at the landing area. “It feels really good to be back home,” said astronaut Nie Haisheng. Compared with its previous mission Shenzhou IX last year, the Shenzhou X is no longer experimental but considered an applicable shuttle system for sending astronauts and supplies to orbiting modules. The mission aims to further test technologies designed for docking (对接) and supporting astronauts' stay in space,as well as to use new technologies related to the construction of a space station.

In its 15-day journey in space,Shenzhou X docked with the orbiting space lab Tiangong-1 twice. The Tiangong-1 space lab has been in orbit for more than 600 days. It's designed to work for two years. And the astronauts spent 12 days in Tiangong-1,where they conducted space medical experiments, technical tests and gave a science lesson to students on Earth on June 19.The lecture was the second video class sent from space, with US astronaut Barbara Morgan's 25-minute class being the first in 2007.

Although the interruption has created uncertainty for customers,U.S.airlines won't face as many costs as you might think. The biggest losses will be among European carriers.Still,it's going to take some time for all of the airlines to get back on track.

U.S.airlines are seeing a major interruption because of hundreds of flights canceled due to the ash (灰) cloud from the Icelandic volcano, but European flight companies will face the biggest losses.

The airline business has been tough:The decline greatly slowed traffic;February heavy snow forced U.S.airlines to cancel thousands of flights;and now the ashes from the volcano stopped all traffic in and out of northern Europe for days.

“For U.S.flight companies,it'll be a relatively short-term hit.” said Michael Boyd, president of Boyd Group International,an aviation(航空)consulting firm.“We think right now they're down about $80 million in terms of lost income, and they're down domestically (国内) about 80,000 passengers that would have been flying domestically but aren't because they can't get here.”

Delta announced that volcano-related interruption grounded about 400 flights until Monday at a cost of $20 million in lost income. But compare that to the recent snowstorms, when the airline canceled 7,000 flights and lost $65 million.

The disruption has created uncertainty for customers, but analysts say U.S.airlines won't face as many costs as you might think. They are not flying in extra planes to handle the passengers in trouble because, airline analyst Robert Mann said, companies simply don't have them.

“Airlines run a very lean (难以赚钱的) operation now,” Mann said.“So,since there are no spare aircraft or crews, the airlines will attempt to maximize loads on every one of their aircraft that do fly.But it may take days,or in some cases a week or so,to get some of these customers to where they want to go.”

6.According to the text the disasters caused________. A.coldness, pollution and airlines' losses B.airport damage, pollution and slow traffic C.passenger delay, coldness and airport damage D.passenger delay, airlines' losses and slow traffic 7.What was the result of the Icelandic volcano? A.More snow was caused in the U.S. B.The U.S.airlines added more planes.

C.The U.S.airlines suffered less loss than European airlines. D.The traffic to and from northern Europe was interrupted.

8.Why will it take long for airlines to send the passengers to their destinations?

A.The passengers are asking for full refund from the airlines. B.The airlines don't have spare planes or employees to serve. C.The passengers enjoy staying in airports to talk with one another. D.The airlines don't have enough financial support after the volcano. 9.What does the last paragraph mainly tell us?
