附:录音材料

(Text 1)

W: I?m hungry. Do you have anything to eat besides bread?

M: Not really. I usually just go out for meals. There?s a great café around the corner that has really good soups and salads. We could go there if you want. W: Lead the way! (Text 2)

W: Excuse me. Can I have change for a dollar, please?

M: Sorry, but I can only give you change if you buy something. W: But I only have a dollar on me, and all I need is four quarters. M: Sorry, but I don?t make the rules. (Text 3)

W: Dude, what were you thinking? Mom and dad are super mad at you! M: I know, it?s just... I thought that I could get away with it.

W: Skipping school to go to a baseball game sounds fun and all, but didn?t you know that the school calls the parents whenever their kids miss class? M: Well, I know that now! (Text 4)

W: I thought the actor who played the role of Julius Caesar was yery good. M: I agree, but I thought the actress did a terrible job. (Text 5)

W: Don?t you think Mary will make a good teacher?

M: Not really. Can you imagine how students would respond to her inability to express her ideas clearly? (Text 6)

M: Hey, that?s a nice family photo.

W: Thanks! My sister took it when we went to Spain with our parents last year for vacation. M: No wonder you look so relaxed! And your mom looks so young!

W: I?ll tell her you said that! That was the first time she had been to the beach in a few years. M: Why is that?

W: Well, we thought she had skin cancer for a while. She went to the doctor and had some tests done, but they couldn?t figure out what it was. Finally, she went to Australia with my dad, and they saw a specialist there.

M: What did they find out?

(差) (1—5分) 未能传达给读者任何信息:内容太少,无法评判;所写内容均与试题要求内容无关或无法看清。 W: It turned out to be a kind of skin disease, but not cancer, and nothing to do with being in the sun. I think my mom was the happiest she?s ever been after that. Swimming in the ocean is my mom?s favorite thing to do in the world. (Text 7)

M: Hi, Mary. Do you want to start writing the lab report after we finish this experiment?

W: I can?t! I actually need to leave early because I?m going over to the psychology department. I?m meeting Professor Sogard about a job opening. M: What? Like a job on campus or something?

W: Yeah. And it sounds pretty interesting. It?s all about how people study... you know, what kind of learning style they prefer. So, for example, some people learn best by looking at something, while others learn best by hearing or touching.

M: Yeah, that sounds like it?d be perfect for you. You?ve actually done a lot of work in that area. So now, the big question: are you getting paid for this?

W: I?m sure we?ll get a little something, but probably not much. Anyway, it doesn?t matter to me. The most important thing is to get some experience, you know?

M: Yeah. And it?ll be nice to help those high school students, too.

W: That?s what I thought when I saw the ad. But you know what? You could do it, too. (Text 8)

M: I hate waiting in the airport like this. They never seem to be able to get the planes running on time, do they?

W: Well, most planes are on time, I think. Whenever they are delayed, it?s part of traveling by air. What makes me mad is that they never tell you why the planes are delayed. It?s not knowing what?s going on that kills me.

M: Yeah! If they could at least be honest with us, everything would be fine. And don?t you think that the airlines should at least get everyone a free meal?

W: Well, I?d certainly love for that to happen, but in this day and age, I don?t see them doing something like that for hundreds of people. (Text 9)

W: Good morning, sir. What can I do for you?

M: Good morning. I need some advice. My nephew and I think it?s time for us to figure out where we should go for our summer vacation abroad. It?s nearly March, but we just can?t decide where to go.

W: How about the east of Germany? Oh, but there have been some serious forest fires there this year. What about Switzerland? You could spend your vacation doing some hiking. M: Hmm. Well, uh.. .are there any other choices?

W: Uh... What about an ocean voyage? Oh, the ships these days are unbelievable! They have everything! You could go to Greece or Turkey, or...

M: Well, it sounds fun, but the rich food in those countries always upsets my stomach. I?d rather go somewhere else.

W: All right. What about going to Spain on a package deal? A lot of people do that now. You fly there and stay in a modern hotel. With these types of deals, you don?t have as many things to plan, they are fairly cheap, and they?re very popular with young people.

M: Actually, my nephew is hoping to go to France—he?s learning French at school. He would love to go to a quiet place where he could just hang out and meet the locals. W: Aha, I?ve got it! How about going camping in France?

M: That sounds great! Do I have a detailed schedule?
