Hours of Work 工作时间

Academic Staff 教学人员

Academic staff: the staff responsible for all teaching and research activities at the University. They include the professors, associate professors, lecturers and tutors.

教学人员是指学校从事教学和研究方面的员工,包括正、副教授,讲师,助教和导师。

Academic staff must fulfill their contractual obligations to teaching, research, and administration. Being late, leaving early, changing, cancelling or arranging substitutes for classes without the prior knowledge of the line manager are not allowed. Academic staff must attend collective activities as the University or department indicates.

教学人员必须履行他们在教学,研究和行政方面的合同义务。不得无故迟到、早退、调课,取消课程或找人代课。教学人员必须按照学校或院系的要求参加集体活动。 English Language Centre Tutors 英语语言中心导师

English Language Centre Tutors follows their contracts and the holiday schedule issued by HR Office before the beginning of each academic year.

英语语言中心导师需遵守劳动合同规定并按照学年之初人力资源办公室发出的节假日通知安排休假。

Admin Staff 行政人员

A five-day workweek from Monday to Friday 每周周一至周五,五天工作日

Time of work starts at 9:00 a.m. and finishes at 5:00 p.m.; a one hour lunch break is to be taken between 12:00 to 14:00.

每日工作时间为早上9点至下午5点,中午12点至下午2点任选一小时为午餐时间。

Holidays 节假日

1. The academic year is from 1st September to 31st August each year.

9月1日至次年8月31日为一个学年。

2. Subject to Government approval the University will allocate certain weekdays leave for

each of the following festivals.

根据国家对法定节假日的规定,学校在以下节假日将各安排一定的工作日的休假:

3. In addition, University will also offer vacations for the festivals below.

除国家法定节假日外,学校将同时安排以下节假日的休假: ? Christmas Day ? Boxing Day

The University reserves the right to have some closed days and where closed days are allocated a deduction will be made from staffs‘ annual leave entitlement. 学校有权自主安排停业日,停业日将做为休假从员工年假中扣除。

Attendance Monitoring System 考勤体系

1. For administrative and ELC staff, a person will be nominated in each Department/

Office to record attendance. The attendance record keeper is responsible for ensuring the absence and overtime forms are completed on time, and the absence record is completed each month to enable any adjustments to salary to be made.

对于行政人员和英语语言中心成员,每个院系或办公室应指定专人记录出勤情况。出勤记录人应确保及时填写缺勤表和加班表。每月的缺勤记录将作为薪资调整的依据。

2. Each Department/ Office should provide a summary table of the monthly attendance

record, absence and overtime forms to the Human Resources Office by the 2nd working day of every month.

每个院系/办公室应在每月的第二个工作日之前向人力资源办公室提供上一月的出勤、缺勤和加班记录总汇表。

3. All Heads of Department should ensure accurate and timely management of the

Attendance monitoring process.

所有院系及部门负责人应确保及时、准确地监督管理员工的出勤情况。

Procedures & Eligibility for Leave 请假程序和批准

1. Procedures here apply to all types of leaves.

请假程序适用于所有类型的请假

2. All staff must comply with the formal procedures, fill in the Leave Application Form and

get approval by their line manager in advance. The bottom copy of completed form is kept by each department / office‘s attendance record keeper and the upper copy of the form should be submitted to HR Office by attendance record keeper. In exceptional circumstances this procedure maybe postponed for two days or the applicant should ask other colleague to deliver the application form on his/her behalf.

所有人员必须按程序填写请假申请表并事先得到直接主管领导的批准。填写后的表格的下联由各个院系/部门的出勤记录人员保存,上联则由出勤记录人员上交人力资源办公室。如遇特殊情况,此程序可延后两天办理或请同事代为填写。 3. Different periods of leave require different levels of approval:

不同的假长要求不同层级领导的批准:

? Ten working days or less------line manager‘s approval only;

十个工作日以内----主管部门批准即可; ? Over ten working days------ SMT member‘s approval required.

超过十个工作日---- 要求得到高级管理团队成员的批准。

* ELC Tutors do not need to seek approval of SMT for leave which is over 10 days if the leave falls within the allowed holiday dates specified for ELC Tutors for the academic year.

英语语言中心导师休假十天以上但不超过中心规定本学年节日天数的,则无需高级管理团队成员的批准。

All the upper copy of the completed absence forms will be retained in the Human Resources Office for record purposes.

所有填写后的缺勤表上联交由人力资源办公室保存以便记录。

4. Members of staff who wishes to extend a period of leave should notify their line manager

and subject to their approved Leave Application Form and inform the Human Resources Office to extend their leaves.

员工延长休假需及时通知直接主管领导并提交申请,在获得批准后应告知人力资源办公室。 5. Every Head of Department/Team Leader must obtain the related SMT member‘s

approval for leave. The Human Resources Office will retain all completed absence forms for record purposes.

各个院系/部门的负责人请假必须得到SMT成员的批准。人力资源办公室应保存所有填写后的缺勤表以便记录。 6. In the ordinary course of events, academic staff and ELC Tutors will not be authorised

leave during teaching and examination periods.

一般情况下,教学人员和英语语言中心导师在教学和考试期间不得请假。

Types of Leave, Deadline and Salary Deduction 请假的类型,截止日期和工资扣除

1. Annual Leave (pay all the salaries and allowances) 年假(带薪,带津贴)

In addition to the above leave a member of administrative staff is also entitled to 15 days annual leave increasing by an extra half day per year up to a maximum of 20 days. 除上述节假日外,行政人员同时享有每年15天的年休假,此年假以15天为基数,工作每满一年则增加0.5天,但累计不得超过20天。

If a member of administrative staff wishes to carry over his/her annual leave days to the following year, five days is the maximum allowed.

行政人员如果将其当年年假携带到次年,则最多允许携带5天。

Annual leave including overtime work transfer is calculated at least half day. 年假,包括调休,均以天计,最少单位为0.5天,

If the employment length of an administrative staff is less than a year, annual Leave is calculated on a pro rata monthly basis. The formula is total days of Annual Leave÷365×Working days.

在校工作不足一年的行政员工,其年假则按月比例折算。计算公式为:年假总天数÷365×工作天数。 2. Sick Leave病假

A period of Sick leave allows an employee to recover from personal illness, injury, or disability that prevents the performance of their usual duties. A medical certificate of a municipal hospital is necessary if the absence time is more than two days. Absence of more than two days without a medical certificate will be recorded as personal leave.

Medical certificate is not necessary if the absence time is less than two days, however the University reserves the right to draw on employee for the medical certificate.

病假指员工因患病、受伤或伤残,无法继续履行工作职责,必须进行休息治疗而请的假。如果请假时间超过两天,需提供市级医院开具的证明,否则将被视为事假。如果请假时间在两天之内,可不提供医院证明,但学校保留向员工索取病假证明的权利。

If the accumulative sick leave is less than a month in an academic year, member of staff will get the full pay. If the accumulative sick leave is more than a month but within the stipulated medical period, the University will make a deduction of 25% the salary. If the accumulative sick leave is more than a month and also over the stipulated medical period, the University will make a deduction of 75% the salary. Payment of deducted salary beyond the period of one month will be in accordance with national regulations and respect to ownership of firm. Where it is stipulated otherwise by national regulatory, the relevant provision shall prevail.

如果员工全学年病假累计不超过一个月,工资按全额发放。如果病假累计超过一个月,根据国家有关规定及国家尊重企业单位的所有权,累计超过一个月但在规定医疗期内的,扣发当月工资的25%。累计超过一个月并超过规定医疗期的,扣发当月工资的75%。国家另有规定的,从其规定。

If the member of staff fails to make a recovery during the medical period indicated by the doctor, and is unable to perform any alternative duties identified by the University, consideration will be given to the termination of the contract in accordance with the Regulations of the People‘s Republic of China.

如果员工未能在医疗期内得以恢复,且无法从事学校分配的任何其它工作,根据中华人民共和国法律规定,学校将考虑终止劳动合同。

Each line-manager should keep in touch with the member of staff, visit them, and keep them informed of any procedural matters.

直接主管领导应与其部门的员工保持联系,看望并告知员工程序事务。

The University will pay a member of staff who is absent due to an occupational injury the salary and allowances for the period of the absence according to national regulations. 如果员工因工伤休假,学校应按国家规定支付其休假期间的工资和津贴。 3. Personal Leave of Absence 事假

Members of staff are allowed to request leave to attend to personal affairs. The maximum amount of Personal leave is ten working days per year. There is no salary paid for this kind of leave.

学校允许员工告事假。当年事假累计不得超过十个工作日。事假为无薪休假。 4. Marriage Vacation (pay all the salaries and allowances) 婚假(带薪,带津贴)

The University offers paid time off for a marriage (not apply to employee who is married before having labour contract with the university). A member of staff who has attained the full legal age, male members of staff age 22 years old, and female members of staff age 20 years old are entitled to three (3) days marriage leave; Male members of staff over 25 years old and female members of staff is over 23 years old are entitled to thirteen (13) days marriage leave.

学校为员工提供带薪婚假(不适用于在与学校签署劳动合同之前结婚的员工)。员工达到法定年龄结婚,即男年满22周岁,女年满20周岁,可享受婚假3天。男员工超过25岁,女员工超过23岁,可享受晚婚假,即13天婚假。
