教学目标: 一、{教材分析}

1.语言功能:描述中西方的主要节日。

语言结构: Can you tell me about American festivals? Yes. My favourite is Thanksgiving. 2.教学目标:

a.知识目标:Learn new words “special, hear, nearly, together”. b.能力目标:

Master the sentence pattern “Can you tell me about American festivals?” and “Thanksgiving is my favourite festival. ” Let them ask and answer.使学生能描述中西方的主要节日特征。 c.情感目标:Enable to describe the customs of Thanksgiving and other festivals. Let the students know that they should say “Thank you” to those people who helps them.激发学生的积极情感,培养学生交流与合作的能力。 3.教学重点:

学生通过前10册的学习,已经初步掌握了一般现在时和过去时的系动词、动词过去分词等相关语法知识的正确用法,学生学习本模块的内容应该不难,新学习的内容是学生知识的扩展,既复习了以前的知识,有强化了新知识,教师应该通过多种训练形式引导六年级学生在学习的过程中对接触过的知识进行比较,提炼、总结、运用。 四、{教学过程}

Step 1 Preparation(热身复习) Greetings. :

a.T: We had an important festival last Sunday. What’s the festival?(Moon Festival/Mid- Autumn Festival) What do families do at this festival? What do people eat/say?

b. T: Moon Festival is my favourite festival. Do you know “When is it?”

S: It’s in September.

T: Right. It’s usually in September. And it’s sometimes in October.

c. T: There are some festivals in each month in the world. Can

you tell me your favourite festival? And when is it? d.T: Now let’s read 12 months together.

Ss: January, February, march, April,May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.

e.T: Today we’ll talk about an important festival in America. And then we’ll have a big, special festival meal. OK? Ss: OK!

Step 2 Presentation(语言呈现)

T: Let’s learn M4U1. (板书标题) Can you tell me about American festivals?

a. T: Simon and Daming are talking about the important festival. What’s the festival? Ss. Thanksgiving.

T: Let’s watch. (并板书 Thanksgiving) b. T: Look, here comes 2 questions.

1. if you’re Simon. Can you tell me about American festivals? 2. When is it?

This time open your books. Let’s listen and find out the answers.

Ss(听音看书寻找答案)

T: Who wants to be Simon and answer the first question? S: Yes, Thanksgiving is my favoutite. (师板书)

T: Can you tell me about Chinese festivals?(问几个学生,并鼓励生问)

Ss: Moon Festival,Teacher’s Day, Chinese New Year? T: I know many Chinese/ American festivals. Do you want to know? S: Yes.

T: Moon Festival/Spring Festival/Lantern Festival/Dragon Boat festival/Christmas?..

Daming wants to know something about American festivals. So he ask: Can you tell me about American festivals?(引导学生说并板书,领读这两句) T: When is it? S: It’s in November.

T: Yes. Thanksgiving is in November.

e. T: What do people do?(课件) Read by yourselves and underline the answers.

1. What do families do? 2. What do they have? 3. What do they say? S1:Families are together.

S2:They have a big, special dinner.

T: Do you know “Which food is special at Thanksgiving?”(课件展示感恩节大餐——火鸡图片)
