Abstract: Control system to the Plastic injection molding machine formed by electric relays and switching valves has many shortcomings, such as complexity wiring, low control accuracy, inconvenience maintenance and lack of flexibility. Using PLC technology can greatly enhance the machine¡¯s overall performance. In this paper, SIMATIC S7-200 mini PLC system was used to design the Plastic injection molding machine¡¯s control unit: including the hardware wiring and the I/O allocation. The STEP7-Micro/WIN 32 software is used as programming platform; it is very flexible, user-friendly and convenient debugging.
