The cartoonist presents us a car for delivery rushing at high speed and almost getting fly. But as we look at it carefully, it is a little bitter to find that the business reputation and the service quality—briefly, conscience of the business—are left behind.
What is depicted in the drawing really deserves our introspection—the drawing reminds us that disputes between the customers and the services are commonly found currently. These conflicts are caused by the latter’s loss of credit or substandard service. The “brutal” express service in the cartoon is merely a typical case, and this business is hardly alone under the criticism. News reports on the collapse of the buildings, swill-cooked dirty oil and the poisonous uniform are now sent by satellite to almost every TV set all over the world. These messages cause concerns on our life, health, and well-being.
To change this awkward situation, we have to activate legal restrictions and put the public supervision to practice. But such countermeasures may not be mighty enough. We should also be aware that the foundation of a truly healthy world is in the conscience that could only be cultivated by education and the mass media. With these efforts, I believe, such embarrassment will vanish one day. 【参考译文】

What comes into our view from this picture seems to be a really hearty feast. But it’s a pity to find that they are just the remnants, and the waiteris pouring the dishes into the trash bucket. Doesn’t the same scene happen every day around us?
Here is a question: do we often package the remnants? Maybe some will respond with disdain. In their opinions, we have shaken off the starvation and it’s totally unnecessary to do so. But a data from a survey is astonishing: the amount of the waste of food reaches 8 million tons a year which could support at least 20 million people annually. While some of us are wasting foodstuff, a large amount of people living in remote districts are still suffering from starving and poverty.
How can we turn a blind eye to it? As civilized people, we must protest against the waste of food and take action to carry out corresponding measures. Specifically, if the restaurants could serve a way according to the customers’ needs, like the buffet, waste may be reduced. Besides, with a friendly reminding—“Thrift Is Honorable But Waste Is Shameful”—waiters may impart the diners the message that to order reasonably does not mean losing face. 【参考译文】
