only放在句首，修饰副词、介词短语或状语从句，要进行部分倒装。注意当only修饰状语从句时，主句部分倒装，被only修饰的状语从句部分不倒装。当only修饰主语时，则不用倒装。有下列几种情况：
(1)only+副词位于句首构成的倒装：Only then did he realize his mistake．只有在那时他才认识到自己的错误。
(2)only+介词短语位于句首构成的倒装：Only in this way can you learn maths well．只有用这种方法你才能学好数学。
