L1 Importance of Life-long Learning

Teaching Objectives:

At the end of this class, students will be able to…

1. understand the reading material better through using the reading skill: summarization

of the main idea;

2. understand the importance of life-long learning and get well aware of the importance

of being a life-long learner.

Teaching Design:

Steps Pre-reading [2min] Teaching Procedures Purposes 1. Reading: Ask Ss to read and summarize the main ideas for all of the paragraphs. 10. Encourage Ss to use concise language. To enable Ss to choose the correct main idea through finding relevant details that support the main idea. To help Ss to further consolidate the reading skill and get Ss to pay attention to the conciseness of the main idea. Post-reading 1.
