6.0 ENVIRONMENT CONTROL

6.1 Strict environmental compliance would be implemented with regard to disposal of any demolished debris. The debris in question would be transported and dump in the disposal areas as approved by the Engineer.

6.2 Disposable materials would not be dumped into streams or unauthorized areas.

6.3 Effort would be made to clean the affected road surface, i.e., brushed off, and washed off to prevent from dust pollution.

6.4 Top soil would be collected before cutting the slope in order to plant vegetation after completion of required area is being cut.

6.5 Local Environmental rules would be followed in the slope cutting i.e. shall not reach to a fence and cutting shall be 3ft away from a private land, if not retaining wall would be proposed to prevent from erosion.

6.6 Every effort would be made to ensure no environmental pollution complaints from residents of this area with regard to air and water pollution.

6.7 Environmental complaints would be registered in the complaint register as specified in the Environmental Implementation Action Plan.

6.8 Every effort would be made not to disturb prevailing surface water runoff. In case of prevailing surface water runoff could be disturbed then investigation would be conducted to find out proper irrigation channeling system.

6.9 Water pool area would not be disturbed when disposing excavated soil. In case of a paddy field it would be filled and disturbed then the approval for reclamation would be obtained from the Authorized Department prior to filling.

7.0 INSPECTION AND TESTING

7.1 The inspection and test plans for all drainage works in the attachments No.10 summarize various characteristics to be checked.

7.2 The concerned Section Engineer/Foreman will be responsible to ensure stage wise compliance for these operations.

7.3 The Site QA/QC Engineer/ Inspector will carry out quality control checks and report the inspection results.

7.4 Vendors and suppliers test certificates for all Materials and equipment shall be furnished.

7.5 The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) shall be carried out by authorized third party agency where all testing certification shall be approved by client.

8.0 Supervision Responsibilities

8.1 It is the Project Manager duty to ensure that all necessary safety and protective equipment are provided along with properly trained and qualified personnel.

8.2 It is the Site Supervisor‘s duty to organize the work in a safe manner to ensure that Safety and protective equipment are being properly utilized. He must also assure the Method statement procedure is followed and must observe the Hold-points and notify The Consultant for inspection.

8.3 It is the worker‘s duty to properly wear the protective equipment provided and obey all Safety rules. He must also perform the work as described in the method statementProcedure.

8.4 The project Manager will coordinate with Safety Engineer and ensure that the Necessary resources to implement the approved method statement have been allocated to the task.

8.5 The Site Engineer will ensure that the site preparation activities are conducted According to the approved method statement.

8.6 The QC engineer will ensure that the materials being used are in accordance to The Project specifications and the approved method statement
