The person who inspired me is my English teacher, Miss Liu. When I was in Grade 7, my English was poor and I nearly wanted to give it up. Luckily, Miss Liu noticed that. One afternoon, she took me to the playground. She first told me how she solved her problem when she was in trouble. Pointing to the running track, she told me that if I stopped working hard, I would never reach the finish line. I was inspired then. I kept working hard and now my English is among the top ten in my class. I’m thankful to Miss Liu. She let me know the importance of keeping on. Possible version 2:

Last year, I had a hard time memorizing new English words. I was upset and didn’t know how to deal with it. Luckily, I met Mr. Zhang. He told me life is always full of ups and downs.
