Nowadays loving each other is a good deed and common in the society.

Paragraph 2:

Choose to love, and you will help others.

【答案】Nowadays loving each other is a good deed and common in the society. Choose to love, and you will have joy. Therefore, learning from what the young men and women have done,I take part in the church work camps on weekends,no matter how cold or hot it is.What the teenagers have done sets an example to me and changes my mind.Whenever I meet the people in need,I rush to help them.

Choose to love, and you will help others. How do you want to experience life? Will you be more kind?Begin with yourself. Realize that you are powerful and can create love. Take care of your thoughts and feelings and make sure they can reflect the positive aspects of you.You can then devote this love to people and places around you.Your love becomes the love other people feel.Be an angel and choose to live freely and joyfully. In this way, the society we live in will be better and better.

5.阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。

I was responding to a call from a small brick flat(用砖做的公寓) in a quiet part of town. I assumed I was being sent to pick up some party-goers, or someone who had just had a fight with a lover, or a

worker heading to an early shift at some factory for the industrial part of town.

When I arrived at 2:30 a.m., the building was dark except for a single light in a ground floor window. Under such circumstances, many drivers just honk(按喇叭) once or twice, wait a minute, then drive away. But I had seen too many weak people who depended on taxis as their only means of transportation.

Unless a situation smelled of danger, I always went to the door.

This passenger might be someone who needs my assistance, I reasoned to myself. So I walked to the door and knocked. “Just a minute,” answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor. After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 80s stood before me.She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat, like somebody out of a 1940s movie. By her side was a small nylon suitcase.

The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets. There were no clocks on the walls, no equipment on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware.

“Would you carry my bag out to the car?” she said. I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist the woman. She took my arm, and we walked slowly toward the cab.

She kept thanking me for my kindness.“It’s nothing,” I told her. “I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother treated.” 注意:

【答案】Having given me an address, a hospice, she asked,“Could you drive through downtown?” Asked why we didn’t take the shortest way, the small woman told me it was the last chance for her to visit the city.We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived. Besides, she asked me to slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing. At last, she said she was tired and wanted to go to the hospice.

We drove in silence to the address she had given me, and it was a low building, where the old lady would live the rest of her life. Two nurses who must have been expecting her came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up. I opened the trunk and took the suitcase to the door and the woman was already seated in a wheelchair. When she asked how much she owed me, without thinking, I said nothing and bent to give her a hug. It was my assistance that helped one of weak people realize her wish.
