7. Amber Color Specifications (see attached ABI test procedure) The average uncorrected light transmission (T) at 550 nm wavelength of amber beer bottles will be as follows:

T550 = 35% Maximum (Target 27%)

The average is obtained by testing four (4) pieces taken from the upper sidewall of the label panel of a single bottle at 90° increments. In addition, no individual piece may exceed 40% (uncorrected) at 550 nm wavelength.

All amber beer bottles purchased by ABI must also have an acceptable redness ratio as defined on the

attached graph. The redness ratio is defined as the ratio of corrected light transmission (T) at 650 nm over the (T) at 550 nm for a glass thickness of 3.18 mm.

Certified glass house test results as measured by the supplier will be included with qualification samples

submitted on the initial step of the qualification process. 7.琥珀颜色标准(见ABI测试程序附件)

9. Flint Color Specification Suppliers should target no visual color hues. Samples of suspect lots can be submitted to CQA for disposition and further analysis. Visual limit samples are available from Corporate Quality Assurance.

10. Bottle Coatings All bottles will be treated externally with approved coating materials included in this specification. FDA Requirements - The ingredients of bottle coating formulations must meet FDA requirements. Each supplier of bottles to ABI is required to verify by letter to Corporate Purchasing that the coating to be used meets these requirements.

ABI does not give blanket approval for any given coating or application system. Glass suppliers

will submit bottles using the proposed coating system to the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Technical Center - Material Science Development Department for approval. Suppliers will notify Corporate Quality Assurance prior to shipment of ware from any new coating system installation.

11. Hot End Treatment The following specific coating materials are acceptable for use based on formulations approved by Anheuser-Busch, Brewing Division:

Suppliers will target 0 ctu application of hot end coating contact on the bottle finish to eliminate crown rusting. Measurements are taken either under the reinforcing ring or on the reinforcing ring (26-611):

A) Crown Rust - If crown rusting occurs, bottle finishes will be checked for the presence of hot end coating, and if found, ware from this manufacturing date is subject to rejection.

B) Brewery Incoming Quality Inspection - Any individual reading above 10 ctu is unacceptable. 11.热端喷涂应用

Any new materials or application systems that are proposed must be flavor approved and pass brewery functional testing.

Internal contamination is not permitted. In no instance is the application of a cold end coating material to be accomplished by means of sprayers or other dispensers, the discharge of which, at any time, is ocated

above the parting line of the bottle, between the finish mold and body mold. Any fallen bottle, which may have been exposed to the possibility of internal cold end spray contamination, must be discarded. 12.冷端涂层

13. Toxics Specification (For Packaging and other Goods intended for Human Contact) Supplier represents and warrants that all materials used in or applied to the goods supplied (including but not limited to all composition materials and coatings such as inks, paints, dyes and colorants) shall be free of toxic components. In determining what constitutes “toxic free” Supplier must comply with the most restrictive standards applicable under US Federal or State law regarding toxics. In complying with this specification Supplier shall take into account that the goods may be sold in all fifty states. The term

“toxic” means any material which governing law or regulation has identified as presenting a risk of adverse health effects in the event of exposure (whether through inhalation, ingestion, absorption including dermal contact, or otherwise). Where unavoidable trace amounts of a toxic exist in goods to be supplied, Supplier shall notify Buyer of the facts, and substantiate that the toxic constituent content does not (a) result in a duty to warn given the normal and customary use of the goods; or (b) does not exceed the lower of:

(1) the “no significant risk level”; (2) .001 x the “no observed effect level”; (3) 100 PPM if the toxic is a toxic metal; or (4) a more restrictive state or federal numeric standard otherwise established.

In evaluating any “duty to warn” in connection with the “no significant risk level” and or the “no observed effect level” (NOEL) for any particular material, Supplier is directed to consider regulatory requirements under the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. (22 Cal. Code of Regulations, §12101 et seq.; and Health and Safety Code §25249.5 et. seq.)

14. Bottom Plate of Bottle/Cavity Identification Device To facilitate the use of automatic electronic empty bottle inspection devices, it is necessary that the center area of the bottom plate of all returnable beer bottles be void of any light streaks, stippling, blisters, mold identification markings, etc., and that the color be uniform throughout. Concentric rings and AGR dots are not permitted on the bottom plate of returnable bottles. Emhart dot code may be used on the heel of bottles. Use of more than one type of CID per bottle is unacceptable except when approved in writing by ABI. Heel Video Jet Code - Suppliers will use a ten space video jet code on the heel radius (non-contact area) of non-returnable bottles for glass plant production information as follows. The code may be placed on the bottom plate of the bottle where EBI’s are not used with the approval of the receiving brewery: Example Space 1-4 Shop Designation CG21 Space 5 Open Space 6 Year Date 2005 = 5 Spaces 7-9 Julian Date 013 = January 13 Space 10 Open
