1996年联合国教科文组织发表的题为《学习——内在的财富》的报告中指出,21世纪的教育将是终身教育,21世纪的社会将是学习型社会。终身教育和学习型社会要求每个人都能自觉地学习,而每个人自觉地学习的重要标志之一是能否热爱阅读。可以说,阅读是学习之本,是立教之根,是生存之道。朱永新教授说:“我一直认为,一个人的精神发育史实质上就是一个人的阅读史;而一个民族的精神境界,在很大程度上取决于全民族的阅读水平。在一定意义上说,读书就意味着教育。”

众所周知,语文课外活动是语文课堂教学的继续与补充、扩展与延伸,它能使中学生在课堂教学中学到的语文知识、语文能力得到实践上的应用,能帮助学生更有效地深化知识与提高能力。因此,我们要树立大语文的教学观,举办形式多样的课外活动,以激发学生的学习兴趣,从而“得法于课内,收益于课外”。课外阅读是语文课外活动最主要最便捷最有效的形式之一。如何指导中学生搞好课外阅读,养成良好的阅读习惯,已成为广大教师不断探索和追求的一个教学目标。在此,笔者很想与师生们交流一下这方面的经验。

一、 制订计划,加强管理

搞好课外阅读首先要制订周详而切实的计划。所以,每个新学期伊始,我就根据本册语文教材的“目录”,确定配合讲读教学的课外阅读的大致内容,再结合学校给高一、高二年级每周开设的一次阅读课安排情况,制订好本学期学生课外阅读的计划。它包括阅读的内容、目标、要求、统计评比等。这样,就可以有步骤、有计划地适时指导相关的课外阅读。同时,还要加强这方面的组织管理,包括学生阅读量的统计、阅读笔记的抽阅或展览评比,以及以读促写的作文竞赛等等。这才能保证学生课文阅读的有效进行。 二、 注重指导,探索方法

语文课外阅读的指导,首先要给广大学生确定积极向上、健康丰富的内容。可根据社会和学校的精神文明建设和语文课的教学任务来确定,要注意内容的实际性、针对性、时间性、地方性和新颖性。然后,要采用学生喜闻乐见、生动活泼的多样化阅读形式。充分利用图书馆和每周一次的阅读课,经常关注学校的黑板报、报栏和文学社的校报这些阅读园地,适时举行课外阅读座谈会,不断借助网络、多媒体双向教学设施等。当然,注意指导还应体现学生的自主性和教师的指导性的和谐。例如在阅读课辅导时,我就和学生交谈,了解阅读进程情况,交换对读物的看法,解答学生遇到的问题,用自己的言

行示范、感染学生。另外,还指导学生制作实用、精美的知识卡片。

正确指导学生的课外阅读,高度重视学生的课外阅读,就能帮助学生逐渐养成良好的阅读习惯,提高阅读能力,尤其是对文学作品的鉴赏能力。阿巴斯?阿卡德曾说:“阅读是个体生命的扩展。”是啊,读书能使人在有限的生命历程中,感觉世界的博大,感觉生命的久远,感觉人生的美好。不管外面的世界如何变化,人类的精神家园不能没有书。因此,我不断摸索出一些行之有效的阅读方法,来培养学生良好的阅读习惯,这将使学生受益终生。

首先,培养学生“会读”的习惯。中学生爱读书的人越来越多,但真正会阅读的人并不多。杜甫“读书破万卷,下笔如有神”的境界是许多学生不懈追求和无比向往的,但许多人只会翻书而不能“破”书。因为,课外阅读有其自身的特点——重在求量,目标多为一般性地了解,就象蜜蜂酿蜜一样,行万里路,采万朵花。所以,学生要学会读,要运用默读、略读和速读的方法。这样才能徜徉于浩如烟海的书中,撷取朵朵浪花;才能跋涉在无限风光的书山上,探寻条条路径。当然,有时候也需诵读、精读和慢读,也需聚精会神、一丝不苟地读几遍,甚至几十遍,才能获得“书读百遍,其义自见”的效果。

其次,培养学生“善思”的习惯。爱因斯坦说:“学习知识要善于思考、思考、再思考,我就是靠这个学习方法成为科学家的。”看来,思考是科学学心的核心,思考的过程就是对所学知识吸收、消化、升华的过程。因此,我注意了培养学生善思的阅读习惯。一是有选择有目的地去阅读,二是去粗取精、去伪存真地鉴别,三是历史的唯物的辨证的筛选。这样就不致于“学而不思则罔”。

再次,培养学生“勤记”的习惯。一方面是勤记录,让学生养成“不动笔墨不读书”的好习惯。阅读笔记的内容和形式可以多样化。学生可以对所读的篇章圈点批注、提要钩玄,可以摘抄名言佳句,可以写出读后感受、书评等。以此来积累自己素材的宝库,构筑自己知识的殿堂。另一方面要勤识记,对所摘要的知识经常感知、理解,以期积累运用。

最后,培养学生“善用”的习惯。课外阅读使学生开拓了视野,巩固了知识,陶冶了思想,重要的是为学生提供了写作的范例。一篇文质兼美的阅读材料是学习写作等运用语言练习的范型,对写作和其它语言运用活动具有很好的指导和启发作用。因此,就鼓励、引导学生善于把阅读中所汲取的思想、文化、知识和写作方法,自觉地运用到写
