The school I go gives us a lot of homework. 1. to I usually come home, have anything to eat, do two hour‘ homework and then go to the swimming pool. I swam for three quarters of an hour on every day. Most of my friends think I‘m Mad. Even as we go on holiday I‘m not happy If I can‘t go swimming at the least four times a week, so I like going to the coast best. Once my parents had seats next an American couple on the train. They spoke no English and the Americans knew few Chinese words, but conversation was impossible—until an hour into the trip, when my father called me on my cell phone He asked for me to introduce them to the Americans and then he handed the American woman his phone. Felt rather foolish ,I said“Hello”into it. The American woman were very delighted to hear someone spoke English. She told me about themself and their trip, and asked me to pass on the informations to my parents. She said from such a simple phone call she learned that the Chinese were really polite.
Passage Eleven
My friend, Li Hua, spent her vacation in America, where her mother was doing research in a university medicine center. She went on a two-weeks trip during which she stayed in a Number of country hotels she wrote us about the. One Such hotel is called East Bay Inn. It is built in 1853, and is situated in the heart of an historic district in Savanna, Georgia. It has nineteen-century rooms with Victoria-period furniture. Just outside of her window, where is a lovely river with ships passing, and a cobblestone street where tourists shopped for gifts, take pictures or sit under umbrellas enjoy coffee.

My mother was used to be a worker in a machine factory. She worked very hard , but because the poor management in the factory , she has to leave her job two years ago , when she had worked for more than 20 years. To help supporting the family she tried her best to find job. After a few months , she finally got a work as a bus conductor on a long- distance bus . Every morning , she goes to work an 6:30 and returns back at 9:00 in the evening . I know she is very tired of a day‘s work. But she never talks about it . To show my love, I study hard at school.
